Financial Aid Application
Policy Guidelines:
Limited financial support is available for the academically qualified whose family circumstances would not otherwise allow them to attend the school. This is made possible through the generosity of kind benefactors.
Eligibility:
Financial aid is open to Antiguan & Barbudan students, students with Antiguan parents, and students from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). Completion of this application should not be construed as a guarantee for receiving a school bursary. In order to be considered for a bursary, we ask that all sections of this application be completed carefully and thoroughly and that all accounts with The MILL Academy be current. The deadline for the submission of completed forms is March 1st. All applicants will be notified by May or earlier on the status of their application.
Criteria for Bursary:
Family income, tuition, family expenses, student performance, behavior and attendance will be reviewed annually as well as a family’s availability and willingness to donate time and/or services to the school.
Documentation Required:
Copies of all family income and expenses documentation are required as provided in the schedule of “net worth” and “disposable Income” below. Any other documentation or information relating to outstanding debts, medical bills, or unusual circumstances should be included for consideration. Bank statements for the last 3 months are required, along with current pay stub from your employer. Please submit a copy of your tax return for the prior year, If you are self-employed.
Please retain a copy of this application for subsequent year’s renewal applications.
The information in this document will be used to assess your family’s assistance requirements. Please be accurate and truthful. The Mill Academy calculations are based on family income, expected tuition costs, and family living expenses to evaluate financial need. If the school suspects untruthful representations, the application will be denied.
Confidentiality
Your application will be treated in the strictest of confidence. Your application will only be seen by the principal, Deputy and the Board. All files relating to assistance will be kept in a locked safe. All documents kept by the school will be certified copies and not originals. If your application is denied, the documents will be shredded.
Value
The value of the bursary will cover the tuition for one year. Parents are responsible for covering uniforms, books, stationery, food and transportation.
