Topic: Expressing Mood Through Art
OBJECTIVE: Create a well-designed artwork that clearly represents a mood using colors, shapes, and expressions.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Choose a Mood – Think about how you want your artwork to feel. Do you want it to be happy, sad, excited, calm, or another mood?
2. Select Your Colors – Use colors that match your mood. For example:
o Happy – Bright yellows, warm oranges, and soft pinks
o Sad – Cool blues, grays, and purples
o Angry – Bold reds and dark blacks
o Calm – Soft greens and light blues
3. Use Shapes and Lines – Different shapes and lines can show emotions.
o Curvy lines and soft shapes = gentle, relaxed mood
o Sharp angles and jagged lines = energetic, tense mood
4. Add Details – Include objects, faces, or scenes that enhance your mood. Example:
o A smiling sun for happiness
o A rainy window for sadness
o A stormy sky for anger
5. Present Your Work – When finished, share your artwork and explain how your choices of color, lines, and details show the mood you wanted to express.
REMEMBER:
Your artwork should clearly show the feeling you want. Be creative and use everything you’ve learned in art!
